Is FastComet a good web host?
For a small or medium site whose visitors are near one of its locations, yes, with two caveats: the disks are small, and the only long-run independent monitoring we found landed below the company’s own 99.9 percent guarantee. FastComet was founded in 2013 and became part of World Host Group in April 2025. Everything in this review is a published fact we checked on the date given, a third-party measurement cited by name, or a gap we name as a gap.

Every plan runs on LiteSpeed Enterprise with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress, AMD EPYC processors and NVMe storage, and includes free SSL, a malware scanner, a restore manager, Node.js support, WordPress Toolkit, SSH and development tools, free migration by staff, and up to 30 daily offsite backups with free restores. The plan cards mark Plus as “2x Performance Boost” and Extra as “3x”; FastComet publishes these relative tiers rather than cores and gigabytes.

The regular price printed on each plan card is the renewal rate. Two things are worth noticing. The 12-month term is the cheapest per month on every plan, and the 36-month term is cheaper per month than the 24-month term, so the middle option is the one to avoid. Monthly billing carries a first-month discount of about 30 percent and then renews at the regular rate.
Three-year cost on the entry plan
| Route | Years 1 to 3 |
|---|---|
| 12 months, renewed twice | $23.88 + $119.40 + $119.40 = $262.68 |
| 36 months upfront | $118.46 |
| Month to month | $6.99 + 35 × $9.95 = $355.24 |
How do refunds work?
The cancellation and refunds terms, last updated on 10 July 2025, set a 30-day window for shared hosting: the cancellation request must take effect within 30 days of the order. Setup and processing fees, domain registration fees, Cloud Apps products, licences and add-ons are excluded. Renewal fees are refundable only if the cancellation is submitted before the renewal term begins, at least 24 hours before 11:59 AM EDT on the renewal date; once the term has started they are not refundable. VPS and dedicated servers carry no refund. Requests count only when made through the Client Area.
The plan page’s own FAQ says 30 days as well. Several review sites still quote 45 days, which appears to be the older policy.
What does the uptime guarantee pay?
This is the strongest guarantee among the hosts we have reviewed so far. The service agreement promises a service uptime of at least 99.9 percent for covered services and a 10 percent service credit of the monthly fee for each hour of downtime, up to 100 percent of the monthly fee. The website-uptime page restates it as 99.9 percent website availability excluding maintenance, covering mail, FTP and the database as well, with a separate 100 percent public network commitment. FastComet says it checks every 60 seconds from seven locations on four continents. Credits must be claimed.
The service agreement also says FastComet may change fees at any time, will make a reasonable effort to notify customers at least 7 days before the renewal date, and issues the renewal invoice at least 7 days before expiry.
What is the infrastructure?
Twelve data centers: Dallas (opened November 2016), Newark (January 2018), Fremont (March 2022) and Toronto (June 2019) in North America; London (August 2014), Frankfurt (November 2016) and Milan (January 2024) in Europe; Singapore (November 2016), Tokyo (September 2015) and Mumbai (August 2019) in Asia; Sydney (January 2020); and São Paulo (January 2024). The shared hosting checkout offered six of them when we ordered a test configuration: Dallas, Frankfurt, London, Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai. The page lists each location’s capacity and a test IP for speed checks.
The resource usage policy adds limits the plan cards do not: no constant utilisation of 80 percent of the plan’s resources for an hour, 400 outgoing emails per hour, 10 simultaneous IMAP or POP3 connections, slow database queries (over one second) kept under 1 percent of a day’s queries, and no more than 10 percent of the database server’s resources. FastComet says it does not suspend accounts for overuse but sends a report with optimisation and upgrade suggestions.
How fast and reliable is it?
Kripesh Adwani’s review, updated on 6 October 2026, runs a FastComet Extra plan in Mumbai under Better Uptime with 30-second checks:
- 99.80 percent uptime over the last 365 days and 99.61 percent over the last 30 days.
- Page load of 871 milliseconds from India and 3.88 seconds from the United States, which mostly measures the distance from a Mumbai server.
- A k6 load test at 50 virtual users: 10,800 requests, zero failures, a 26 millisecond 95th-percentile response time.
HostingStep’s review by Mohan Raj, updated on 25 July 2026, monitored a Starter site with Pingdom every 60 seconds from 1 October 2025 to 31 May 2026 and read 99.98 percent uptime, a 496 millisecond average TTFB from US locations, a global cached TTFB of 387 milliseconds on 17 April 2026 and a 78 millisecond average under its load test with no errors. Its calendar-year table shows 99.84 percent for 2024 and 99.92 percent for 2025.
HostScore’s review, updated on 17 September 2026, gives FastComet 74.24 percent and describes “good global uptime” and “solid server speeds” without publishing intervals.
The two year-scale figures disagree, and the gap is worth weighing: 99.80 percent on a Mumbai account under 30-second checks against 99.98 percent on a US account under 60-second checks. 99.80 percent is about 17.5 hours of downtime in a year; the guarantee is 99.9 percent, about 8.8 hours. Under FastComet’s own credit schedule a customer with Kripesh Adwani’s record would have been owed credits in several months, while a customer with HostingStep’s record would not.
How good is the support?
FastComet offers 24/7 live chat, tickets and a US phone line printed in the site header. The company’s uptime page cites a 4.8 out of 5 average across Trustpilot (3,205 reviews), HostAdvice (1,501) and G2 (60) at the time the page was written; we could not load the live Trustpilot page to confirm the current count. Kripesh Adwani’s October 2026 update reports that support quality declined after the acquisition. We have not timed tickets ourselves and will add real ones to the support table on this page.
Who owns FastComet, and where is it?
FastComet INC was founded in 2013 by Georgi Yanev. On 24 April 2025 World Host Group, which also owns Hosting.com (the former A2 Hosting), announced it had acquired FastComet, then serving about 32,000 customers and 135,000 websites, and said the brand would continue while the teams merged with its Plovdiv and Sofia operations. The terms site names FastComet INC as the operator.
What is missing or unclear?
- Per-plan CPU and RAM figures; only relative “performance boost” tiers are published.
- Whether any free domain offer exists for new orders.
- The current Trustpilot score and count.
- HostIdea’s own monitoring, support timing and load testing have not started.
Who should choose FastComet, and who should look elsewhere?
Choose it if your audience is in a region where few budget hosts have a data center (Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, São Paulo, Milan, Toronto), you want cPanel and a phone number, and your site fits in 10 to 40 GB. Buy the 12-month or 36-month term, not 24.
Look elsewhere if you want a free domain and larger disks at a similar renewal, or if you want a host whose published monitoring sits above its own guarantee. Flashcloud and Hostinger both bundle a domain; SiteGround has the stronger support record.
How we scored this review
The scores on this page are provisional. Uptime reflects the one year-long third-party figure, which is below the guarantee. Performance reflects the hardware stack and the load-test result. Features credit the backups, locations and guarantee against the small disks and missing domain. Value weighs low first-term prices and moderate renewals. Support reflects the channels and the mixed post-acquisition reports, not timed tickets. Each score will be recomputed when our own data exists, and the review history on this page will show the change.
