No HostIdea monitoring window is open for these hosts yet. Uptime and response are published third-party measurements, one per host by a fixed rule (longest stated independent window, and its response figure or the most recent one); methods differ, so read them as a guide. Each review lists every source with its method.

A backup you did not make is the one that saves you. This list ranks the nine hosts on what the entry plan includes without an add-on: daily or weekly, how many copies are kept, whether they live off the server, and whether you can restore from the panel yourself. Everything is read from the plan pages and terms on 13 October 2026.

Six hosts include daily backups on the cheapest plan. Two include weekly backups. One includes backups for the first year only, and one does not include them at all. If you do nothing else when comparing hosts, check this line.

Frequently asked questions

Is a weekly backup enough?

For a site that changes once a month, yes. For a store, a membership site or anything with daily comments or orders, no: a weekly copy can lose a week of work.

Why does off-server storage matter?

A backup on the same server as the site is lost with the server. FastComet, Flashcloud and Hosting.com state that backups are stored separately; the others do not say on their plan pages.

Should I still run my own backups?

Yes. A host backup protects you from your own mistakes and from the host's hardware, not from losing the account. Keep a monthly copy somewhere you control.
