# Flashcloud review 2026: what the plans include, what they cost at renewal, and what is still unproven

A close reading of Flashcloud's three shared plans, their monthly, annual and 3-year prices, the anytime refund, the 99.9 percent SLA and the data behind the speed claims, with every source dated.

## Verdict

Flashcloud bundles more into a shared plan than most hosts at its price: a domain that stays free while you host, 30 days of daily backups, unlimited mailboxes, a staff-built five-page starter site, and a refund you can claim at any point in the term. Renewal prices are printed next to the intro prices and sit below the usual shared-hosting renewals. What it cannot show yet is a track record: the company started in 2026, the only published monitoring covers one month, and our own window has not opened. A good choice for a small site; wait for more data before moving a store.

### What we liked

- **Free domain for life, with privacy.** One eligible domain is registered free and renewed free every year the plan stays active, and WHOIS privacy is included. Most competitors stop after the first year.
- **Daily backups with 30-day retention.** Full daily backups of files, databases, email and DNS, stored on separate infrastructure, restorable from the portal by file, database, mailbox or whole account.
- **Refund at any point in the term.** Full refund in the first 30 days (minus the cost of a free domain), then the complete unused months refunded at any time, on every service type; VPS and dedicated get the unused-months refund from day one. Flashcloud calls it an anytime money-back guarantee.
- **Renewal prices lower than the norm.** Start renews at $9.99/mo on the annual term and $8.99/mo on the 3-year term, and the terms promise at least 30 days notice before any price change.
- **Resources stated per plan.** 2, 4 or 6 CPU cores and the same number of gigabytes of RAM per account, on NVMe storage with LiteSpeed, LSCache and Redis, which few shared hosts publish.
- **Migration that pays for leftover time.** Staff move the site, usually within 24 hours, and credit up to 6 unused months from the old host on annual and 3-year plans.

### What held it back

- **New company, short record.** Founded in 2026. The only published monitoring we found covers 30 days. HostIdea's own monitoring window is not open yet.
- **Intro-to-renewal jump.** Start goes from $2.79 to $9.99/mo after the first year on the annual term, a 3.6 times increase, although the renewal is shown before you buy.
- **No phone support, no Windows.** Support is chat, ticket and email only. There is no Windows hosting or ASP.NET option.
- **Small inconsistencies in the public material.** The pricing page says the US East location is New York, the knowledge base says New Jersey. Third-party listings quote plan limits that do not match the official page.

## What did our tests show?

HostIdea has not opened its own monitoring window for Flashcloud yet, so there is no HostIdea uptime or response figure on this page. The published measurements we could find are listed below, attributed to the people who ran them. This section will carry our data when a window completes.

No test results published yet.

### What do published measurements show?

Longest independent window: 100.00% uptime over first month of monitoring (HostScore). Response times reported: 142 ms (HostScore, average server response over the month), 2 ms (Bitcatcha, Bitcatcha worldwide average, rated A+; not a page TTFB).

Measurements published by others, as they state them. HostIdea did not run these tests; each row links to its source and shows the date we read it.

## Is Flashcloud a good web host?

For a small site, yes, with one caveat. The plans are unusually complete for shared hosting, the prices by term and at renewal are printed where you can see them before you buy, and the refund terms are better than the industry’s 30-day norm. The caveat is age. Flashcloud’s about page describes the company as new, built by two founders with about two decades of hosting experience each, and the earliest independent monitoring we found began in August 2026. Everything in this review is either a published fact we checked on the date given, a third-party measurement cited by name, or a gap we name as a gap.

## What do you get on each plan?

Flashcloud sells three shared plans. The WordPress Hosting plans (WP Start, WP Grow, WP Scale) carry the same prices and limits, with WordPress preinstalled.

Bandwidth is unmetered on every plan. The monthly term has no discount and renews at the same price; the annual and 3-year prices are first-term prices, with the renewal shown under each.

Every plan includes the same list of extras: a free domain for life with free WHOIS privacy, free SSL with automatic renewal, daily backups kept for 30 days, unlimited mailboxes with webmail, forwarding and autoresponders, Cloudflare CDN, LiteSpeed with LSCache and Redis, a web application firewall, DDoS filtering, daily malware scanning and removal, cPanel, SSH and WP-CLI, unlimited FTP and SFTP users, free migration, and a handcrafted starter website.

The per-plan differences are therefore just three numbers: how many sites, how much storage, and how much CPU and RAM. The resource figures are worth a second look. Most shared hosts hide per-account limits in a fair-use clause. Flashcloud prints 2, 4 or 6 cores and the same number of gigabytes of RAM on the plan cards. We have not yet measured how those limits behave under load.

## What does it cost over three years?

The headline price is the first year of the annual term. Here is the arithmetic for the full three years, which is the term most people end up keeping a site for.

| Plan | Annual term, 3 years | 3-year term, first 3 years | 3-year term, next 3 years |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Start | $33.48 + $119.88 + $119.88 = $273.24 | $107.64 | $323.64 |
| Grow | $45.48 + $143.88 + $143.88 = $333.24 | $143.64 | $359.64 |
| Scale | $101.88 + $275.88 + $275.88 = $653.64 | $323.64 | $719.64 |

The 3-year term is the cheaper way to buy if you are confident you will stay, and the renewal on that term ($8.99, $9.99 and $19.99 per month) is the lowest renewal Flashcloud offers. The anytime refund softens the commitment: on a 3-year term you can still leave in month 14 and get the remaining complete months back.

The terms of service also say Flashcloud will notify customers at least thirty days before a renewal at a changed price, and that you must cancel at least fifteen days before the renewal date to stop automatic renewal. Both are worth a calendar entry.

## How do refunds work?

Flashcloud calls it an anytime money-back guarantee, and the knowledge base article on the refund policy (updated 10 August 2026) and the terms of service describe the same two layers.

1. **First 30 days.** Cancel a shared or WordPress plan within 30 days of activation and the plan fee is refunded in full. If you took the free domain, its registration cost is deducted and the domain stays yours.
2. **At any time after that.** Cancel and get back the unused whole months left on the prepaid term; the month you are in is not refunded. The terms give the example of a twelve-month plan cancelled after twenty-five days returning eleven months. This applies to every service type: VPS and dedicated servers get the unused-months refund from day one, without the 30-day full-refund window.

Excluded: domain registrations and renewals (registry rules), add-ons, SSL certificates once issued, promo credits, gift certificates and control-panel licence fees. To claim it you cancel the service with immediate timing, then open a billing ticket quoting the invoice or service ID; card refunds take five to ten business days. We have not tested the process.

## What is the infrastructure?

Flashcloud’s knowledge base is more specific than its marketing pages, and the two agree on the substance:

- **Web server and caching**: LiteSpeed Web Server with LSCache full-page caching and Redis object caching, rather than the common nginx plus PHP-FPM setup.
- **Hardware**: NVMe SSD storage on every server, recent Intel and AMD processors, ECC RAM on every shared and WordPress server, redundant network uplinks.
- **Locations**: four data centers, chosen at order time. The knowledge base lists New Jersey, Seattle, Frankfurt and Singapore. The pricing page lists New York, Seattle, Frankfurt and Singapore. We asked which is correct and will update this review with the answer.
- **Network and DNS**: Cloudflare for shared and WordPress DNS and CDN, with DDoS filtering at the edge.
- **Security**: ModSecurity rules in front of every request, ImunifyAV daily malware scanning, hardened SSH, automatic patching, encrypted backups and encrypted database storage.
- **Backups**: JetBackup daily backups with 30-day retention on separate infrastructure. From the portal you can restore everything, files only, one database, or one mailbox, and generate an on-demand backup before a risky change.

The published uptime target is 99.9 percent per calendar month for shared and WordPress hosting. The terms attach service credits to it: nothing at 99.9 percent or above, a 10 percent credit of that month’s fee between 99.8 and 99.89 percent, and 10 percentage points more for each further 0.1 point of uptime lost. Credits must be requested; they are not applied automatically. A 99.9 percent month allows about 43 minutes of downtime.

## How fast and reliable is it?

The most detailed independent test we found is HostScore’s review by Jerry Low, published 6 September 2026 and updated 17 September 2026. HostScore ran a WordPress and WooCommerce test site on the Scale plan in the Singapore data center and reported:

- 100 percent uptime during the first month of monitoring, with checks every five minutes.
- An average server response time of about 142 milliseconds over that month.
- A Bitcatcha rating of A+, with roughly 2 milliseconds of latency from the Singapore test point, which mostly reflects the test point sitting next to the server.
- WordPress benchmark scores between 6.4 and 7.0, which HostScore places in the mid-to-upper range for shared hosting.
- An overall HostScore of 84.32 percent.

Bitcatcha’s own review by Daren Low, updated 26 May 2026, ran a test site through its Server Speed Checker and reports a worldwide average of 2.4 milliseconds with an A+ rating. We list it because it exists, not because it tells you much: a 2.4 millisecond average across ten continents is not a plausible HTTP time to first byte, the page does not say what the tool measures or which plan and location were used, and no uptime was recorded.

One month of five-minute checks is a thin basis for an uptime claim. It says nothing yet about how the platform handles a busy quarter or a hardware failure, and it covers one of four locations. Treat it as a first data point, not a track record.

Flashcloud’s own status page reports per-region status for every product line and showed no active incidents when we checked on 13 October 2026. The company does not publish historical uptime figures.

## How good is the support?

Flashcloud offers 24/7 live chat, tickets and email. There is no phone support. The marketing pages claim an average response time under 15 minutes and “hosting experts, not chatbots”; we have not measured response times ourselves yet and will add real tickets with timestamps to the support table on this page.

What we could assess is the documentation. The knowledge base articles we read (on backups, staging, infrastructure and migration) are practical and specific: the backup article explains restore granularity and what backups do not cover, and the staging article warns about overwriting live orders when pushing a staging copy. That is better than the generic help centers of several larger hosts.

Public ratings are early and small. Trustpilot showed a 4 out of 5 TrustScore from 4 reviews on 13 October 2026. WHTop listed 2 reviews at 10 out of 10 on 15 July 2026. Flashcloud’s homepage cites more than 90 verified reviews across HostAdvice, SourceForge and Google with a 4.9 average; we could not load the HostAdvice page to confirm the count. None of these samples is large enough to lean on.

## What else is included?

Three inclusions deserve a closer look, because they are unusual.

- **Free handcrafted website.** Every plan includes a WordPress site of up to five pages, designed by Flashcloud’s team around the customer’s business, with one free revision, usually ready in one to two working days. The customer owns it and can edit it afterwards. For a sole trader who would otherwise pay for a template or a freelancer, this changes the value calculation.
- **Migration with time credit.** Flashcloud’s staff move the site, database and mailboxes, usually within 24 hours, and the old site stays untouched until you approve the copy. On annual and 3-year plans they also add up to 6 unused months from your old host’s last invoice.
- **Domain for life.** The free domain renews free every year the plan is active, on eligible extensions. The terms spell out that this is the standard registration and renewal fee for one domain, nothing more.

## What is missing or unclear?

- No phone support and no Windows hosting.
- The company’s own comparison table on its homepage uses competitor prices from July 2026; check current prices before relying on it.
- Third-party listings disagree with the official pages: WHTop lists Grow at 100 GB and a 90-day guarantee, while the pricing page says 50 GB and the refund is anytime. We used the official pages.
- The New York versus New Jersey discrepancy noted above.
- We found no published load-test or long-term uptime data from anyone, and HostIdea’s own window has not opened.

## Who should choose Flashcloud, and who should wait?

Choose it if you run a small business site, portfolio or blog, you value having the domain, backups, email and a starter site included, and you want refund terms that let you leave without losing a year’s fee. The 3-year term is the best price if you expect to stay.

Wait if your site is a store with real revenue or a high-traffic publication. The ingredients look right, but the proof is one month of someone else’s monitoring. Come back when this page shows our own uptime and response-time data.

## How we scored this review

The scores on this page are provisional. The features and value scores rest on the verified plan terms, which are strong. The performance and uptime scores rest on HostScore’s single month of monitoring and the published SLA, so they are held back until our own data exists. The support score reflects the documentation quality and the small public rating samples, not timed tickets. Each score will be recomputed from measured data when our window completes, and the review history on this page will show the change.

## Frequently asked questions

- **### Does Flashcloud have a money-back guarantee?**: Yes, and it is unusual: within the first 30 days you get a full refund of the plan fee, minus the cost of any domain registered free with the plan, which stays yours. After 30 days you can still cancel and get back the complete unused months of your prepaid term. This applies to shared and WordPress plans; VPS and dedicated servers have different terms.

- **### Is the free domain really free for life?**: For as long as your qualifying hosting plan stays active and in good standing, yes. One eligible domain is registered free and renewed free each year. If you cancel hosting, you keep the domain and pay the normal renewal from then on.

- **### Where are Flashcloud's servers?**: Four locations, chosen at order time: US East (the knowledge base says New Jersey, the pricing page says New York), US West in Seattle, Frankfurt in Germany, and Singapore.

- **### What is the difference between Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting plans?**: The prices and limits are identical (Start, Grow and Scale at $11.99, $13.99 and $24.99 monthly). The WordPress plans come with WordPress preinstalled and the staging tool, which the knowledge base describes as part of WordPress hosting.

- **### Is Flashcloud good for WooCommerce?**: The plans state per-account CPU and RAM, include Redis and LiteSpeed caching and daily backups, which are the right ingredients for a small store. Nobody has published load-test data for a Flashcloud WooCommerce store yet, so we would not move a busy store until our monitoring window produces numbers.
